Lynx Equity Strategies analysts Jahanara Nissar and KC Rajkumar said they are "looking at" Pure Storage on the long side at current levels, citing their view that investors have been confusing Pure's prospects with the falling price of commodity flash chips and weak demand from data centers. However, they note that Pure Storage's revenue is based on storage software solutions, not flash memory prices, and they believe Pure has an early lead in the high-performance storage segment. Pure Storage may also be"an acquisition target for one of the larger peers at some point of time," the analysts tells investors.
