Stifel analyst Adam Borg noted that Rockwell Automation (ROK) announced it signed an agreement to acquire privately-held Kalypso, which has been a PTC Inc. (PTC) partner since 2008 and is currently a PTC platinum-level partner. He thinks this acquisition is "a net-positive for PTC over time," as it should help Rockwell keep driving adoption of the FactoryTalk InnovationSuite powered by PTC. He also thinks the acquisition should help Rockwell strengthen its services expertise around key PTC enabling technologies and ultimately help with traction of "this important partnership." Borg has a Hold rating on PTC shares.
