Jefferies has learned the PTC Therapeutics' NICE recommendation is contingent on EMA full approval. NICE only reviews approved products from the EMA. Recall that Translarna received conditional approval from EMA in 2014 and the application for full approval is ongoing with decision expected in mid/2H16, the firm's analyst said. Should the marketing authorization of Translarna be withdrawn, the NICE recommendation would not apply any more, according to the firm.
