KeyBanc analyst Tahira Afzal noted that TransCanada (TRP) announced the conditional selection of contractors to construct the Coastal GasLink Pipeline Project and pointed out that an unsuccessful bid was made by Quanta Services (PWR). While missing out on this contract is disappointing, Afzal highlights that Quanta remains disciplined on price and said several other pipeline opportunities in Canada could still support the upper end of the company's 2018 oil and gas projections. The analyst keeps an Overweight rating on Quanta shares.
