Longbow analyst Alton Stump said his talks with Papa John's franchisees lead him to believe U.S. system-wide same-store sales were up 3.5-4.0% to date in Q1, which is ahead of his prior estimate and consensus for the full quarter. The analyst, who also notes this would represent an acceleration from his previous checks for Q4, keeps a Buy rating on Papa John's shares.
