After Quintiles (Q) and Quest Diagnostics (DGX) announced an agreement to create a clinical trials central lab joint venture,.Wells Fargo thinks the deal is positive for Quintiles because it creates a credible number two player in the lab testing space and will allow Quintiles to benefit from both cost and revenue synergies. The firm raised its price target on Quintiles to $74-$78 from $68-$72 and keeps an Outperform rating on the stock.
