OTR Global believes Qualcomm (QCOM) will lose the CPU for Samsung's Note 5 to the in-house Exynos processor and retain only an LTE modem for CDMA carriers. The firm said Qualcomm's modem content for Samsung's Note 5 is expected to be $20-$22 and represents about 30% of Note 5 shipments vs. 60% for the Note 4. Additionally, OTR said Intel (INTC) cold lose Note 5 LTE modem content to a Samsung modem.
