Citigroup said yesterday that Qualcomm not having a baseband chip in the Galaxy S6 is not an incremental piece of news because the chip maker never had the baseband socket in the Exynos version of the device to begin with. It continues to believe the Snapdragon 820 samples due out later this year will likely get Qualcomm back into Samsung’s Galaxy S-series devices since "integrated devices are generally more desirable than standalone, separate ones." Citi expects Qualcomm to continue buying back shares and keeps a Buy rating on the with an $88 price target.
