Needham analyst Mayank Tandon kept his Hold rating on Qudian after its soft Q3 results, saying the company's operating income and revenues came in below expectations because of continued industry headwinds. The analyst notes that while the stock is trading at a "sizable discount" relative to other online lending companies, he sees its risk-reward as balanced at current levels amid "significant macroeconomic, funding, and regulatory headwinds facing online lenders operating in China."
