Stephens analyst Will Slabaugh issued his yearly look at restaurants that he views as the most attractive takeover candidates, highlighting Red Robin (RRGB), BJ's Restaurants (BJRI), Carrols Restaurant (TAST), Chuy's (CHUY) and Papa Murphy's (FRSH) as the names at the top of his potential M&A list. The analyst said the highest profile deals in the space in the last twelve months included Buffalo Wild Wings, which he noted was one of six he highlighted in his 2017 potential takeout targets list. Slabaugh has Overweight ratings on four of the five stocks highlighted, with an Equal Weight rating on only Chuy's.
