Nomura analyst Brock Vandervliet upgraded Redwood Trust to Buy and increased his price target to $16 from $14. The company has exited two loss making businesses and now provides core earnings guidance and has reestablished itself by participating in a new securitization structure with JP Morgan and unveiled a new loan product to edge down the credit spectrum, which have higher margins and volumes, the analyst wrote in a report.
