As previously reported, Stifel downgraded Star Bulk Carriers to Hold from Buy. Analyst Benjamin Nolan believes dry bulk demand is limited for the year and lowered his charter rate assumptions and earnings estimates through 2017. Nolan believes Star Bulk lacks short-term catalysts to move shares higher and would wait until market fundamentals improve before becoming more positive on shares.
