Wells Fargo analyst Bonnie Herzog says that according to Nielsen, in the four weeks ending Oct. 8, dollar sales for the total packaged ground coffee category were down 1.3% year-over-year, with a plus 7% unit growth being offset by a down 7.8% average net pricing. Starbucks' dollar share of the total ground coffee category increased, however, to 12.9% from 11.8% last year, Herzog tells investors in a research note. As coffee growth decelerates, the company continues to outperform, the analyst contends. She has an Outperform rating on Starbucks with a $69-$71 price target range.
