Morgan Stanley analyst Fotis Giannakoulis downgraded Safe Bulkers to Equal Weight and reduced its price target to $1 from $3.50 on shares. Giannakoulis believes Safe Bulkers has dilution risk if the market remains weak and it does not renegotiate covenant waivers for certain facilities that might have breached or if any charters default.
