BofA/Merrill analyst George Staphos upgraded Sealed Air to Buy with a $48 price saying the share drop combined with growth outlook provide an opportunity. The analyst notes the stock is down 10% relative to the S&P 500 since August and the company has the potential for increased margins and earnings. Staphos trimmed estimates to account for near-term higher resin price increases but expects idle capacity to gradually come back and for declining resin to improve margins and earnings.
