As previously reported, Morgan Stanley analyst Connor Lynagh downgraded U.S. Silica to Equal Weight from Overweight as he reduced his 2019 Hz rig count forecast by about 6%, to 908 rigs, on average. Given his view that Permian constraints will "dominate the narrative" through the Q2 earnings season, and his belief that the Permian's regional weakness has potential to transmit to other basins, Lynagh recommends decreasing completions exposure and increasing land drilling exposure.
