SunTrust analyst Jennifer Demba lowered her price target on Synovus to $38 to reflect the January 2nd closing date of its FCB Financial acquisition as well as the reduced industry valuation. The analyst also keeps her Buy rating on Synovus and expects the company's "stable core deposit base" to support its net interest margins. Demba adds that Synovus shares are attractively priced at 9-times her expected forward earnings.
