Buckingham analyst Glenn Chin initiated Stoneridge with a Buy rating and a price target of $37, saying the company is "under-followed" and "often misunderstood" even as it transforms into a "fast-growing, margin-expanding entity". The analyst adds that the stock is the best performer in the automotive supplier sector, rising over 40% year-to-date, and it continues to offer "compelling value" based on its revenue and earnings growth, balance sheet strength, cash conversion and return profile. Chin further notes that the performance is sustainable, and yet the Stoneridge stock is trading at a less expensive valuation than some of its slower growing peers.
