Catch up on today's top five analyst upgrades with this list compiled by The Fly: 1. Sarepta (SRPT) upgraded to Outperform at Oppenheimer by analyst Christopher Marai, who said he uncovered several findings supporting eteplirsen's accelerated approval case, including identifying other "highly negative" panel votes that have previously been overruled by the FDA, particularly for unmet need. Marai also thinks the acquisition comps of competitors Santaris and Prosensa place a floor on Sarepta's valuation. 2. Alexion (ALXN) upgraded to Outperform at BMO Capital citing the ideal entry point following the decline in the stock. The firm expects Soliris to be a $1.5B opportunity for the company, and predicts that Alexion will be able to "maintain the vast majority of its PNH and aHUS revenue stream," despite increased competition. 3. CIRCOR (CIR) upgraded to Buy at Stifel because the firm thinks that the company's distributed valve business will benefit as higher oil prices spur E&P companies to complete their wells more quickly. Additionally, the firm is upbeat on the company's management and believes that it has a strong balance sheet. 4. L-3 Communications (LLL) upgraded to Buy at Goldman by analyst Noah Poponak, who said L-3 has underperform the Defense peer group for the last two years and believes bar remains low and and sees room for upward estimate revisions. Poponak continues to believe the US Defense budget is at a trough and expects that to translate to an acceleration in L-3 organic revenue growth and margin improvement ahead. 5. Colgate-Palmolive (CL) upgraded to Neutral at Goldman with analyst Jason English saying the company's earnings visibility has improved and that he no longer sees downside risk to consensus estimates.
