Leerink analyst Joseph Schwartz says Sarepta was notified that the FDA will not meet the PDUFA goal date of May 26 for its eteplirsen. The analyst maintains his cautious view on the overall New Drug Application submission as he believes the FDA will be more scientifically-driven at the end of the day. Anything but an unequivocal approval may also raise the possibility of a competitor re-entering the race, Schwartz tells investors in a research note. He reiterates an Underperform rating on the shares.
