Cowen analyst Vivien Azer named Constellation Brands a best idea for 2018 and called the stock her overall Top Pick in the alcoholic beverages space. She views the momentum of legalized recreational cannabis in the U.S. as a threat to the beverage alcohol category, and beer in particular, but sees Constellation as the most defensible against cannabis of all the major beer manufacturers. Azer maintains an Outperform rating and $243 price target on the stock.
