Wells Fargo views the potential split of Symantec's storage and security business as a positive and thinks the weekend reports of a potential sale of the company's Veritas unit could support the stock. Wells, however, has doubts that Symantec could receive a meaningful premium for its storage assets. It keeps a Market Perform rating on the stock.
