Apple (AAPL) is negotiating with panel manufacturers to purchase about 270M LCD and OLED displays for delivery in 2018, DigiTimes reported earlier. Stifel analyst Kevin Cassidy believes if Apple adds another OLED supplier along with Samsung, Synaptics (SYNA) may have the opportunity to sell its new OLED DDIC to Apple, providing revenue upside to estimates.
