KeyBanc analyst Weston Twigg notes that Teradyne (TER) reported a nice Q1 beat, with results at the high end of guidance, but cited a sharp drop in demand for mobile device test capacity, primarily due to soft Apple (AAPL) demand, in his view, driving Q2 guidance well below consensus. Other markets, including automotive, industrial, and NAND, were cited as healthy, and Universal Robots was noted as still on track to exceed 50% revenue growth in 2018, he adds.
