As reported earlier, Goldman Sachs analyst Katherine Alexakis downgraded Telecom Italia to Neutral from Buy. The analyst cites a "weakening" macro backdrop, the recent change in its CEO, and "shareholder disputes" combining to elevate uncertainty around the case for investment in the shares. Alexakis maintains her confidence in Telecom Italia's "operational trends", but believes the risk-reward on the stock is "more evenly balanced".
