The second Good Manufacturing Practice certification announced this morning for Tilray's Portuguese campus is key and enables the facility to progress towards exclusively supplying global medical markets with a significant cost advantage versus Tilray's Canadian operations, Stifel analyst Andrew Carter tells investors in a research note. He believes securing the certification "significantly enhances" Tilray's positioning for global medical opportunities. The analyst estimates Tilray's global medical revenues to grow 2.6 times over the next two years. While he's becoming "increasingly constructive" on Tilray due to its "continued strong execution," Carter keeps a Hold rating on the shares citing a "fulsome" valuation and "limited room for error around near-term cash needs."
