SunTrust analyst Robert Peck belives concerns about rising rates and declining originations in Lendingtree's mortgage unit, worries about the impact of advertising on its margins and fears about the personal loans side of its business are all weighing on the stock despite the fact that the company raised its Q4 view after the market close yesterday. Peck believes those three areas of concern are unfounded and views the volatility in Lendingtree shares, which opened the session higher bur are now down 22% in afternoon trading, is a buying opportunity and reiterates a Buy rating on the stock.
