Cowen analyst Cai von Rumohr said Textron's decision to undergo a review for Kautex represents a 18- degree strategic shift for the company and suggests it wants to become an A&D pure play. The analyst said a Kautex divestiture could allow Textron to command a higher multiple with attractive optionality to enhance value. Rumohr reiterated his Outperform rating and $60 price target on Textron shares.
