Piper Jaffray analyst Sarah James says she see signs Universal Health Services' primary barrier to achieving Psych revenue growth, namely a nurse shortage, is improving. The analyst, while admiring that it's early and pointing out that she still has concerns for the second half of 2018, says she's beginning to see the potential of reopening beds in 2019. Piper's nursing shortage tracker shows that September marked the fourth sequential month of lower shortages in focus hospitals, James tells investors in a research note. The analyst is cautious to call this a trend, but sees signs of improvement and is incrementally more positive on Universal Health. She keeps a Neutral rating on the shares with a $118 price target.
