Oppenheimer analyst Rupesh Parikh raised his price target for Ulta Beauty (ULTA) to $300 from $260 on valuation. Following a more than 40% rally year to date, the company's shares trade in the same class as some of the fastest growing names in their respective consumer universes including Under Armour (UA), Blue Buffalo Pet Products (BUFF), and lululemon (LULU), the analyst tells investors in a research note. Parikh believes there is "sufficient" comp and earnings upside to maintain his Outperform rating on Ulta Beauty's shares.

Wells Fargo lowered the firm's price target on Ulta Beauty to $350 from $450 and keeps an Underweight rating on the shares. The category is slowing faster than anticipated as the competitive backdrop has become more challenging, the firm says. Margins will likely continue to erode as the need to invest accelerates, Wells adds.
