Citi analyst Walter Pritchard downgraded VMware to Neutral from Buy and lowered his price target for the shares to $138 from $143. The analyst sees "no easy deal" for Dell and expects the overhang to cap VMware shares around the $138 level. When investors have to focus on the implications of complex governance around VMware Class A and Dell Technologies (DVMT) Class V, the shares have traded with a discount, Pritchard tells investors in a research note.
