VMW

Oppenheimer analyst Ittai Kidron raised his price target for VMware to $220 from $200 saying that based on his U.S./European channel checks, he expects the company to report April-quarter results in line with consensus, as well as offer in-line July-quarter guidance. His checks point to steady vSphere and vSAN interest, strong NSX trends, and record interest/adoption for VMC on AWS. Regionally, checks in North America were strong and mixed in Europe, he adds. Overall, Kidron comes away still bullish on the opportunity ahead and expects VMC on AWS to have a more meaningful contribution in the quarters ahead solidifying VMware's multi/hybrid cloud efforts. He reiterates an Outperform rating on the shares.
