Goldman Sachs analyst Brian Essex initiated coverage of Verint Systems with a Buy rating and $58 price target. The analyst started the Security Software sector with an attractive view, believing IT Security offers "attractive levels of exposure to growth technology," and that profitable companies with this exposure could outperform the market. He believes Verint's exposure to growth of the cyber Intelligence and consumer engagement markets is underappreciated and that an improvement in investor awareness will enable the stock to re-rate higher over time.
