William Blair analyst Timothy McHugh says that at a conference presentation on Monday, Verisk Analytics management noted that consensus estimates for Q1 have not fully considered the impact of higher investments and lower revenue growth. Management was more explicit than usual about its expectations for the seasonality of its revenue and earnings during 2017, McHugh tells investors in a research note. The analyst notes, however, that he made no change to his annual earnings projections for 2017 and 2018. His projections are a more back-end loaded, however. McHugh keeps an Outperform rating on Verisk.
