Lake Street analyst Mark Smith says his channel checks at various outdoor retailers indicated heavy promotional activity leading into Black Friday and that an oversupply of ammunition is resulting in discounted prices. However, Vista Outdoor incurred most of this in Q2 and the tough pricing environment the company is facing during the quarter is largely behind it, Smith tells investors in a research note. He sees potential for upside in the second half of the year and keeps a Buy rating on the shares with a $10 price target.
