Oppenheimer analyst Noah Kaye notes that since Election Day, Waste Connections' (WCN) shares have declined, while peers Waste Management (WM) and Republic Services (RSG) have gained. However, the analyst believes the election outcome is an overall positive for Waste Connections and would see EPS/free cash flow benefit from lower U.S. statutory corporate tax rates. Kaye believes Waste Connections has more upside than peers from a potential E&P recovery, relatively less risk from potential trade-related recycling commodity headwinds, and neutral to net positive impact with respect to solid waste import/export trade policy. He reiterates an Outperform rating and $82 price target on Waste Connections' shares.
