Cleveland Research analyst Kevin Rottinghaus sees potential near-term upside to Western Digital's (WDC) positive preannouncement and to consensus estimates on continued strength in NAND, HDD pricing discipline, and demand upside in notebooks and near-line HDDs. His research suggests SSDs are continuing to see upside to demand and pricing in client and enterprise and expects these trends to continue through at least Q1 2017. Rottinghaus rates Western Digital a Neutral.
