RBC Capital analyst Mitch Steves said he had a call with Western Digital management, who confirmed that there was a fire at a company plant, but said it did not impact a fab facility. There should be no impact to the underlying business, beyond some operating expense costs that do not change memory pricing, making the intraday move in the stock "not warranted," the analyst stated.
