Goldman analyst Waqar Syed upgraded Weatherford to Buy and increased his price target to $9.75 from $8 on shares. The analyst said Weatherford will be a beneficiary of an expected recovery in US land drilling activity in 2017 and said, when the cycle turns, investors will benefit from cost cutting and restructuring measures taken over the past two years.
