The analyst notes that in the wake of the company's "very strong" growth in sales, margins, and earnings reported in Q3, the discussions focused on its ability to sustain its recent business momentum, along with the competitive industry environment and the recent aluminum anti-dumping case filed with the ITC. Thielman further states that the management sees the company's volume trends and core construction markets remaining healthy, adding that constraints around rising wages do pose a challenge but should be a small portion of Encore Wire's overall costs.

Sidoti analyst Julio Romero downgraded Encore Wire to Neutral from Buy with a $290 price target.
