As reported previously, Cowen analyst Charles Robertson upgraded WPX Energy to Outperform from Market Perform citing the company's quality asset portfolio and strong management's forward thinking risk management. He believes the company will continue to grow and de-lever and its Northern Delaware and Bakken acreage provides a unique risk/reward. However, Robertson lowered his price target on WPX to $14 from $15.
