Stifel says that Intrexon has a GMO mosquito that could "eradicate or significantly control" the mosquitoes spreading the Zika virus in Brazil. The firm thinks that the company could generate $200M-$400M from such an initiative, but it believes that it may take a decade or more for the revenue to reach that level. It adds that the company may generate as much or more additional; revenue if an organization like the UN or the Gates Foundation pays it to eradicate mosquitoes carrying Zika in very poor countries. Stifel keeps a $69 price target and Buy rating on Intrexon.
