As previously reported, Bernstein analyst Carlos Kirjner upgraded Yahoo (YHOO) to Outperform with a 12-month price target $52 . Kirjner, who has previously said that investors were better off investing directly in Alibaba (BABA) and not taking the risk associated with owning Alibaba indirectly through Yahoo, now believes that Yahoo shares reflect the pricing in of expectations for an "almost" worst case scenario on many fronts. After pulling back to nearly $34 per share, Yahoo's share price suggests "limited" downside versus "significant" potential upside, Kirjner tells investors.
