Barclays analyst Christopher Merwin upgraded Zillow (ZG) to Equal Weight after the company settled its lawsuit with News Corp.'s (NWSA) Move for $130M. The sum is "surprisingly small" since Move was originally seeking $2B in damages, Merwin tells investors in a research note. The analyst views the outcome as "highly favorable" for Zillow and raised his price target for the shares to $32 from $20. In addition to the legal settlement, Merwin believes Zillow's fundamentals are improving. The online real estate platform closed yesterday up $1.04 to $30.78.

Jefferies raised the firm's price target on Zillow to $77 from $75 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The firm expects upside in Q1, though higher mortgage rates and softer housing data exiting the quarter could encourage Zillow to guide Q2 conservatively. Still, the firm sees tailwinds from new products driving upside to consensus in the coming years, the analyst added in a preview note for the U.S. Internet group.
