Shares of Time Inc. (TIME) moved higher after Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the process, reported that the company is moving closer to a sale for more than $20 per share. The stock is up 1%, or 20c, to $19.45 following the report. Meredith (MDP) and Pamplona Capital Management remain potential suitors, along with at least two other suitors including one publicly traded company, sources told Bloomberg.

In a regulatory filing, Time Inc said that on March 21, 2017, the Board of Directors approved June 29, 2017 as the date of the company's 2017 annual meeting of stockholders. On the same date, the Board also extended the deadline to nominate directors for consideration at the 2017 Annual Meeting from March 23, 2017 to April 21, 2017. Director nominations submitted at or prior to the close of business on April 21, 2017 and otherwise complying with the company's bylaws will be considered timely. This waiver and extension of the advance notice deadline is applicable only for the 2017 Annual Meeting.
