Weight Watchers downgraded due to slowing trends at Morgan Stanley
As previously reported, Morgan Stanley downgraded Weight Watchers to Underweight from Equal Weight and lowered its price target to $8 from $12. Analyst Dara Mohsenian said Weight Watchers Google search trends have been weaker in major markets and views 2018 guidance as too optimistic as Oprah Winfrey partnership benefits fade in 2018. The analyst 2017/18 estimates are below consensus and believes potential tax policy changes might end up being a negative given high debt leverage and the likely reduction of interest rate deductibility over time.

Bed Bath & Beyond continues to struggle, says Oppenheimer
Oppenheimer analyst Brian Nagel says Bed Bath & Beyond's weaker than expected Q1 results and more downbeat fiscal year 2016 outlook reflect ongoing struggles at the company. While the analyst remains optimistic that over the longer term Bed, Bath & Beyond will find the right formula to compete effectively online while protecting industry leading margins, he expects the current transition at the company to persist for a while and fuel choppiness in results. Nagel reiterates a Perform rating on the shares.

While this is a significant deceleration in growth from 60% a year ago, Sebastian sees that as only a "slight disappointment," adding that the "impressive" absolute volume still tops the combination of both Black Friday and Cyber Monday online sales in the U.S. The analyst keeps an Outperform rating and $110 price target on Alibaba shares.

Loop Capital calls executive turnover at Twitter 'endemic'
After Twitter's CTO Adam Messinger and VP of Product Josh McFarland each tweeted yesterday that they are leaving the company, Loop Capital analyst Blake Harper says high levels of executive turnover at the company have been "endemic" since its founding. Yesterday's news is disappointing for investors looking for some stability and increased pace of innovation, Harper tells investors in a research note. On the positive side, he notes that Twitter was able to get a new product head, Keith Coleman, through an acqui-hire transaction earlier this month. Harper believes Twitter's valuation already reflects its upside and take-out potential. The analyst keeps a Hold rating on the shares with a $16 price target. The stock closed yesterday at $17.92.
