Tutor Perini Guam-based subsidiary announces two contracts valued at $71M
Tutor Perini announced two new projects collectively valued at approximately $71M for Black Construction Corporation, or BCC, the Company's Guam-based subsidiary. BCC is being awarded a contract to widen Route 3 between Route 28 and Chalan Kareta. Construction is expected to begin in October 2017 with substantial completion anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2019. The contract value is $44M and is expected to be included in the Company's reported Q3 backlog. BCC was awarded another contract for the construction of new pipelines from the main pump house at the Diego Garcia Wharf to the Deep Draft Wharf, as well as construction of new fuel pits, including the expansion of the existing main pump house, new pumps, filters, motors and control systems. Construction is expected to begin in April 2018 after initial mobilization, with substantial completion expected in the Q3 of FY19. The contract value is $27M and is included in the Company's Q2 backlog.
