Huntsman price target raised to $40 from $34 at Nomura Instinet
Nomura Instinet analyst Aleksey Yefremov raised his price target for Huntsman to $40 saying the company remains one of his top picks in chemicals following the Q3 earnings report. Huntsman price target raised to $40 from $32 at SunTrust
SunTrust analyst James Sheehan raised his price target on Huntsman to $40 and kept his Buy rating following Q3 results. Sheehan says the company's recent historically low valuation reflected low free cash flow generation and high leverage. However, the analyst notes that Huntsman's year-to-date free cash flow puts it on target to reach $450M in FY17 versus its $350M target, while leverage has declined to 2.2-times from 3.7-times year ago thanks to the Venator IPO proceeds.
Huntsman may become target for company like LyondellBasell, says Citi
Citi analyst P.J. Juvekar this morning resumed coverage of Huntsman (HUN) with a Buy rating and raised his price target for the shares to $38 from $29. Huntsman has been a willing participant in the consolidation of the chemicals industry and may become a target for a company like LyondellBasell (LYB), Juvekar wrote earlier in a research note. The analyst sees overlap of Polyurethanes and potential synergies of up to $250M from such a combination. Juvekar, in addition, likes Huntsman's focus on improving free cash flow. The stock in morning trading is up 49c to $31.48.
