Dropbox initiated with a Buy at DA Davidson
DA Davidson analyst Rishi Jaluria initiated Dropbox with a Buy rating and a price target of $22 following the company's IPO pricing. Jaluria says that Dropbox offers a "differentiated strategy, rapid growth, strong cash flow margins, and a reasonable valuation". The analyst is also positive on the company's low marketing expenses thanks to its 90% of overall revenues coming from self-serve channels as well as becoming the second fastest technology company to reach $1B in revenues in just 11 years.

Nomura Instinet puts Reduce rating on Dropbox with $21 price target
Nomura Instinet analyst Christopher Eberle last night initiated Dropbox (DBX) with a Reduce rating and $21 price target. The shares closed yesterday up 95c to $33.27. Dropbox's "consistently low" penetration rates, "extremely low" conversion rates, and lack of enterprise salesforce creates little room for upside potential, Eberle tells investors in a research note. If trends do not improve, the shares have "significant downside," the analyst argues. Eberle admits, however, that Dropbox has positioned itself as a top player in the backup storage and workplace collaboration space. The company is a "staunch competitor" to Microsoft's (MSFT) OneDrive, Google's (GOOG, GOOGL) Drive and Apple's (AAPL) iCloud, Eberle contends.

On The Fly: Top five analyst downgrades
Catch up on today's top five analyst downgrades with this list compiled by The Fly: 1. AbbVie (ABBV) downgraded to Underperform from Market Perform by analyst Alex Arfaei, who said the risk/reward has "meaningfully changed" after the rise in the stock price, adding that the new focus on fundamentals beyond the benefits of tax reform suggests "significant price erosion in immunology driven by interchangeable biosimilar anti-TNFs, and lower effectiveness of the 'Rebate Trap' to block access to cheap biosimilars". 2. iRobot (IRBT) downgraded to Neutral from Buy at Sidoti by analyst Frank Camma, who cited valuation as shares approach his $98 price target. 3. Horizon Global (HZN) downgraded to Market Perform from Outperform at BMO Capital by analyst Gerrick Johnson, who said that while he still sees "strong demand in key end markets," operation execution, rising input costs, and high debt levels are concerning. The analyst added that the company may have "lost the faith of investors" after a 30% drop in the stock price following the guidance cut. 4. Yum! Brands (YUM) downgraded to Neutral from Buy at Nomura Instinet by analyst Mark Kalinowshi, who cited valuation and concerns a possible 2018 slowdown in U.S. same-store-sales. 5. Alaska Air (ALK) downgraded to Underweight from Neutral at JPMorgan by analyst Jamie Baker, who noted that the airline is the only name where he had to cut his 2019 estimates. He also believes the company "remains in the United crosshairs in San Francisco." The analyst also downgraded Southwest (LUV) to Neutral from Overweight, and said he believes better relative value exists elsewhere in the Airlines sector. Campbell Soup reinstated with a Sell at Goldman Sachs
Goldman analyst Jason English reinstated Campbell Soup with a Sell and $43 price target telling investors he views the company as a "value trap." English believes the market is over-estimating earnings and sees -2%/-6%/-14% risk to consensus FY18/FY19/FY20 estimates and views the balance sheet as "stretched" and notes cash is committed. Given cash costs of the Snyder's Lance integration and below consensus net income, the analyst does not see enough free cash flow to fund its dividend and debt maturities over the next 3 years.

On The Fly: Top five analyst downgrades
Catch up on today's top five analyst downgrades with this list compiled by The Fly: 1. Campbell Soup (CPB) downgraded to Underweight from Neutral at Piper Jaffray by analyst Michael Lavery, who sees multiple expansion as unlikely given his expectations for 1%-1.5% earnings growth in fiscal 2019. Higher interest rates and lower than expected Snyder-Lance operating contribution weigh on the analyst's earnings expectations. 2. MannKind (MNKD) downgraded to Sell from Hold at Maxim by analyst Jason Kolbert, who said the company's Afrezza revenues of $4.5M were at the lower end of recently-lowered guidance and were " clearly disappointing given management's robust marketing plans". Kolbert added that the company has just $44M of cash remaining, having burned through about $120M last year. 3. Darling Ingredients (DAR) downgraded to Neutral from Buy at Goldman Sachs by analyst Adam Samuelson. While the company's Q4 results came in modestly above expectations, the analyst finds the outlook for roughly flat EBITDA in the base business despite recent growth investments disappointing. Samuelson sees a less attractive risk/reward for Darling post the Q4 results. Shares were also downgraded to Market Perform from Outperform at BMO Capital by analyst Kenneth Zaslow, who said his undamental view on the company has not changed, pointing to less compelling risk-reward based on limited upside in the stock price and some near-term headwinds. 4. Gibraltar Industries (ROCK) downgraded to Sector Weight from Overweight at KeyBanc by analyst Kenneth Zener, who said the risk to return is currently balanced. The analyst awais clarity on the company's next portfolio addition and wants to sees a "steady cadence of Solar EBIT margins." He believes, however, the Gibraltar is executing well post its Q4 results. 5. Mohawk (MHK) downgraded to Buy from Conviction Buy at Goldman Sachs. Analyst Samuel Eisner removed Mohawk from the Conviction Buy List citing near-term risks from rising rates and 1H18 risks from increasing costs and ramping capacity that could put a lid on shares near-term. Celgene COO departure not a surprise, says JMP Securities
JMP Securities analyst Michael King said he was not surprised by the announcement that Celgene COO Scott Smith is exiting given the recent missteps in the company's Inflammation and Immunology franchise. This appears to be the first major step in restructuring Celgene's executive team and he hopes the evolving management structure improves execution and accountability, King tells investors. Although valuation seems to be at extreme lows, King thinks Celgene shares will have a hard time recovering until the company can demonstrate it has regained its ability to drive value, either through execution or an acquisition. He keeps a Market Perform rating on the stock.

Leerink sees 60% upside in Celgene shares under 'base case' scenario
Leerink analyst Geoffrey Porges says his sum-of-the-parts analysis suggests Celgene shares are discounting zero cash flow from Revlimid after 2022 and no approval ever of ozanimod or luspatercept. His "base case" scenario, which includes a slow revenue decline for Revlimid post 2022 and ozanimod's approval in multiple sclerosis during 2019 with a 50% probability of success in all indications, results in a net present value of $140 per share, which is 60% above the current share stock price. Celgene closed yesterday down $1.36 to $85.81. Porges' "worst case" scenario, which assumes no Revlimid contribution post 2022 and neither ozanimod nor luspatercept, has the stock worth $87. Celgene shares discounting "such a bad outlook" is no surprise after the company's "recent missteps and misjudgments," but the stock offers "remarkable upside" to investors willing to step in at the current "distressed" valuation," Porges tells investors in a research note. He keeps an Outperform rating on Celgene with a $123 price target.
