Barnes & Noble Education 'a weapon' as retailers take on Amazon, says BWS
Barnes & Noble Education (BNED) has become "a weapon" in the fight between traditional brick and mortar retailers and Amazon (AMZN), BWS Financial analyst Vahid Khorsand tells investors in an intraday research note. Target's (TGT) partnership with Barnes & Noble Education to deliver college essentials directly to students "has so far gone unappreciated by the market," the analyst contends. He believes Barnes & Noble Education's earnings report on August 30 could serve as a catalyst for the stock on "multiple fronts." Khorsand has a Buy rating on the name with a $14 price target.

Barnes & Noble Education selloff a buying opportunity, says BWS Financial
BWS Financial analyst Vahid Khorsand said Barnes & Noble Education's campus bookstore business has "finally turned a corner" on declining general merchandise sales. Investors have been slow to grasp changes in its business evolution and the post-earnings selloff is more about a lack of investor patience than underlying fundamentals, said Khorsand, who sees the pullback as a buying opportunity and keeps a Buy rating on B&N Education shares.

Micron benefits from secular changes in memory industry, says MKM Partners
MKM Partners analyst Ruben Roy kept his Buy rating and $72 price target on Micron, saying that he retains his positive view amid the ongoing secular change in the memory industry despite the continued concerns among investors about a peaking memory cycle. Roy cites the most recent positively updated guidance by the management that should keep the investment focus on the company's longer-term supply/demand commentary. The analyst also notes that the expectations for DRAM and NAND bit growth, as well as the demand and average selling price trends, are "reasonable".

HP Inc. Meredith (MDP) upgraded to Outperform from Neutral at Credit Suisse with analyst Jason Bazinet saying he attributes the weakness in the shares over the past six months to the company's elevated debt levels and deteriorating print ad trends. 4. Allegheny Technologies (ATI) upgraded to Neutral from Sell at Goldman Sachs with analyst Matthew Korn citing the company's "consistency" of growing within a technologically challenging market as well as its fair valuation, while adding that there is some upside to his forecasts based on its operational strength. 5. G-III Apparel (GIII) upgraded to Outperform from Market Perform at Cowen with analyst John Kernan saying he believes free cash flow will improve with the expansion of Donna Karan profitability and as earnings headwinds diminish. Johnson also sees the RV industry as "fundamentally sound" as more baby boomers retire and tap into their 401Ks, while younger demographic is more attracted to the outdoor lifestyle. Buy
Arris is a 'compelling value' at current levels, says Needham
Needham analyst Richard Valera writes that Arris's 4-year organic top line growth in low-single-digit range outlined at its Analyst Day yesterday is "reasonable". The analyst adds that the company's assumption of a 10% increase in DRAM prices, along with its ability to pass on higher costs, should allow Arris to meet its margin targets in FY18 and beyond. Valera keeps his Buy rating on Arris, saying it is a "compelling value" at current levels, particularly given the "robust" outlook for the company's enterprise segment.

Wix.com price target raised to $105 from $90 at Oppenheimer
Oppenheimer analyst Jason Helfstein raised his price target for Wix.com to $105 from $90 following the company's analyst day as he walked away "increasingly comfortable" that legacy cohorts will drive material long-term free cash flow, with declining risk. The analyst reiterates an Outperform rating on the shares.

Wix.com price target raised to $105 from $98 at SunTrust
SunTrust analyst Naved Khan raised his price target for Wix.com to $105 to reflect prospects for faster growth over the long-term, telling investors in a research note that he came away from the company's Analyst Day feeling "incrementally upbeat" about its prospects. Khan maintained a Buy rating, and says he views Wix Code as a potentially disruptive offering, which is expected to add another leg of growth by expanding the TAM meaningfully.

Neutral
Wix.com lack of guidance raise may disappoint, says JPMorgan
Those looking for a guidance increase at Wix.com's analyst day yesterday likely walked away disappointed, but the CEO did set a goal of 1B registered users, up from the current 130M, JPMorgan analyst Sterling Auty tells investors in a research note. The analyst calls the new goal ambitious goal as he thought the real addressable market is more like 300M-400M users. He appreciates, however, the CEO anecdote about how younger generations think of themselves as brands and could look to promote themselves in different ways including a website, which expands Wix.com's market. Auty keeps a Neutral rating on Wix.com with a $75 price target.

Buy
Wix.com price target raised to $100 from $66 at Deutsche Bank
Deutsche Bank analyst Lloyd Walmsley raised his price target for Wix.com to $100 ahead of the company's analyst day on June 5. The analyst sees an upside bias to medium and long-term estimates driven by continued growth from existing products, the increasing monetization of Wix Code and from new products. He keeps a Buy rating on Wix.com shares.
